Description
The task seemed impossible: to equip 2,000 pharmacies with an online branch in 1-2 years. The result was remarkable: after 12 months, 500 pharmacies were already connected and the number of branches was constantly increasing. During the project phase, CYBERDAY was responsible for the conception, project planning and management, design, front-end implementation, usability and security testing.
Challenge
Combining the convenience factor of an online pharmacy with the personal advisory service of a local pharmacist - this was the declared aim of our client LINDA, a pharmacy network comprising 1,200 independent bricks-and-mortar pharmacies. As the lead partner agency, CYBERDAY took on this mammoth project and implemented it within a year. The agency was not only responsible for designing the website and the IT project planning and coordination between LINDA's management, external service providers and the affiliated pharmacists, but also took on the front-end implementation and the development of a target-oriented tracking concept.
Solution
The store system from the ERP service provider ADG, which specializes in pharmacies, was used as the technical basis for the digital branches. Based on this, CYBERDAY developed the front-end design, which was intended to give all online pharmacies a uniform LINDA look and feel. A digital branch finder on the central LINDA website guides visitors to the digital branch of the nearest participating pharmacy. Every pharmacist offers their customers PAYBACK to collect points. This also had to be integrated into the digital branch using interfaces and anonymization. To track the number of visits, sales, success of marketing campaigns, etc., a tracking concept was created by CYBERDAY to determine the KPIs and integrated into the digital branches.
Results
Within just one year, the wide-ranging customer requirements and CYBERDAY's consulting and coordination services ultimately resulted in a comprehensive system that is easy to use for pharmacists and customers alike and sets standards in terms of omnichannel:
- Participating pharmacies are presented with their product range, opening hours and additional services
- Medication prescriptions can be uploaded via photo upload to order the medication - later even via app
- Orders placed by 12 noon are usually ready for collection at the pharmacy from 4 pm on the same day
- Each participating pharmacy can set individual prices.
- Integration of the cross-channel bonus system PAYBACK
- A centralized tracking system allows each pharmacy to request regular reporting on the performance of its own online presence

Project: Optimization of our existing Magento webshop. The project was implemented very unprofessionally and incorrectly on the part of Cyberday. After many correction runs, some of the major areas of the project are still flawed. In many areas Cyberday has referred to the very general offer and has not corrected very significant deficiencies or meant that is so in Magento .... eg 1. Products with color selection: Customer does not really recognize which color he/she has selected. If a color product is sold out, it "disappears" and is no longer visible. 2. country and language selection: If English is selected as the language, you can't go to the .de page, etc. and 3. Complete misjudgment on Cyberday's part about how a home page needs to be (in terms of function) in order for it to be "maintainable" for the store owner (We currently have to manually upload every single photo of the products on the home page in a different size). My tip to potential buyers: Everything must be described very precisely in the offer (especially when it comes to functionalities). Do not agree that after several weeks you are simply handed the "finished" page and you do not have the opportunity to follow the individual steps. The fact is that we have now hired another agency to do the proofreading work and all the points that Cyberday could not implement are now relatively easy to implement.
