Challenge

Solution

Description

This project involved predicting the required employee capacity in the call center using predictive analytics based on various input factors. The aim was to improve capacity utilization and avoid bottlenecks.

Challenge

Before the introduction of the Analytical Employee Forecast, forecasts were regularly created manually, primarily on the basis of pre-periodic empirical values. The gut feeling factor played a major role here.

Solution

An analytical forecasting model for predicting call center call volumes was created on the basis of marketing spendings and media reach as well as other factors. A multivariate algorithm was used for this purpose.

Results

The forecasting model is able to predict the call center call volume more precisely than was previously possible with a manual forecast. In addition, the forecast is created automatically, regularly and solely on the basis of the available data. This means that call center capacity can be much better aligned with actual demand. Challenge

Since the launch of the jö Bonus Club, the analysis dashboards with reports for companies have been one of the key added values of a partnership. To increase the speed of data analysis, the data platform in the backend was to be replaced by the Snowflake platform already used elsewhere. However, Tableau's visualization software continued to be the tool of choice for presenting dashboards. "The previous data structure was too complex.
